THROUGH THE NOISE Contemporary Concert Series is a concert series founded by composer and pianist Zhihua Hu and started by professors and student composers at the Manhattan School of Music. It hopes to eventually treasure composers of various backgrounds from different countries and give concerts that truly push the boundaries of what music can be. The first concert includes the works by Reiko Fueting (Germany), Alexander Held (Germany), Zhihua Hu (China), Pranav Datla (America), Longfei Li (China), Meng Wang (China), and James Diaz (Columbia).

For the show in March 2018, artist Zhihua Hu had gathered composers / musicians like Reiko Füting (Germany), Pranav Datla (America), James Diaz (Colombia), Longfei Li (China), Paolo Marchettini (Italy), and Alexander Held (Germany). In addition, we will include Special Guest Performers. They are Vocalists, Erhu and Banhu, performer Feifei Yang (China), Guitarist Danniel Lippel (America), Pianist Yegor Shavtsov (Ukraine) and Violinist Jaram Kim (Korea).

In March 2019, artist Zhihua Hu first brought THROUGH THE NOISE Contemporary Concert Series to the big venue Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center. Astonishingly, a lot of emerging composers and musicians, such like Jean-Patrick Besingrand (France), Lukas Gabric (Austria), Yui Sakagoshi (Japan), Iván Solano (Spain), Yuting Zhou (China), Confluss Duo (Amber Evans & Samuel Zagnit, New York City) were bought together by chance. The concert included 12 new compositions composed by 10 composers who are active on the world‘s stage.
